The Acadiana Center for the Arts hosts the premiere of Music Voyager - Made in Louisiana at the James Devin Moncus Theater on Dec. 11.

There's a lot of moving and shaking going on in the Louisiana roots music scene. On Dec. 11, The Acadiana Center for the Arts hosts the premiere of Music Voyager - Made in Louisiana at the James Devin Moncus Theater. Music Voyager is an internationally distributed television program exploring extraordinary music cultures around the world. In early 2010 Music Voyager shot a 30-minute "made in Louisiana" segment featuring Acadiana musicians like the Lost Bayou Ramblers, Roddie Romero & the Hub City All-Stars, David Egan, Marc Broussard, and many others.

Producers of the show will be screening the premiere of the Louisiana-made episode at the AcA in its entirety. There will be drinks, dancing, and live performances by Louis and Andre Michot (Lost Bayou Ramblers), Roddie Romero and Eric Adcock (Roddie Romero & The Hub City All Stars), David Egan, and Marc Broussard. In addition, there will be food prepared by Cajun Chef Pat Mould.

It all goes down on Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online at AcadianaCenterfortheArts.org or by calling 233-7060. Tickets are $14 in advance and $17 at the door.
