Zydeco Enterprises and director Tom Uhl have teamed up to document the zydeco breakfast celebration phenomenon in a new film entitled Zydeco Breakfast.
It is a variety of Americana that can only be found in southern Louisiana. Combining the two arts of zydeco and breakfast was a brilliant move. Café Des Amis in Breaux Bridge plays host to this experience every Saturday morning where they host zydeco bands and serve breakfast for a mulitcultural audience of dancers and music fans. Patrons line up outside to enter an alternate world, celebrating great food and liberating dance music.
