The third installment of the series details the story of one wildlife-rehab volunteer (a New Orleans party photographer) and the 200 pelicans that changed his life. The story speaks to the bigger outpouring of volunteers after the BP oil spill, and the personal transformation many of these people underwent during their time on the frontlines of the BP oil spill.

Narrated by Richard Ziglar, this installment runs just under six minutes. You can listen online here.

GulfWatch is a project launched by ten public Gulf Coast radio and TV stations and led by Louisiana Broadcasting. It examines "the environmental, economic, legal and social implications of the massive spill that will be felt for years to come." Funding comes from the Corpration for Public Broadcasting.
