It's official: LSU fans among nation's worst

It may not be scientific, but GQ's latest survey about the worst fans in the country is spot on.

The constant "Tiger bait" chants are annoying no doubt, as was the booing of quarterback Jordan Jefferson last season, not to mention the fans calling for Coach Les Miles' head: 10-2? 9-3? Sorry, not good enough.

The aforementioned, however, had little to do with earning a spot on GQ magazine's list of worst fans. Below is what really helped LSU faithful make the cut:

For a story on how hostile LSU tailgaters were to opposing fans, female staffers from the university's student newspaper roamed their school's notorious daylong drinkathon disguised in Alabama gear. "We were groped and squeezed by just about every guy we interviewed," they reported. "The women called us bitches' and the men called us cunts.'" Anything else? "The amount of times we were spit on also struck a nerve."

And who could forget that proud 2005 moment when Tiger fans threw beer bottles at Tennessee's team bus, cracking windows.
