Anglo Suisse Offshore Partners is taking responsibility for the March 20 oil spill in Gulf of Mexico.

So it's not silt after all. In the tangled matrix of damage control, disinformation and honest-to-God truth seeking, the oil spill reported on March 20 in the Gulf of Mexico (south of Grand Isle) was attributed to many things, including BP, a dredging operation near the mouth of the Mississippi and several neglected platforms.

It is now being reported that Anglo Suisse Offshore Partners - mentioned in a previous Independent Weekly blog on this subject - has released a statement confirming that its dormant well, which was being capped for permanent abandonment, was the source of the March 20 spill.
