AcA couples dance with ArtWalk

This is what the Acadiana Center for the Arts is meant for: a home-grown arts production featuring modern dance, original choreography and a live musical score written by a local composer.

This is what the Acadiana Center for the Arts is meant for: a home-grown arts production featuring modern dance, original choreography and a live musical score written by a local composer. It all comes together with two productions Saturday night of "I've Stopped Having that Dream I've Been Having."

The dance installation is primarily the work of Paige Krause, artist-in-residence at the AcA. The production features music by Philippe Landry, set design by Marla Kristicevich and lighting design by Brian Schneider. Dancing to Krause's choreography are Esther Winn Burley, Jamie Faulk, Brian Guidry, Kara St. Clair and Chad Trahan.

The performances are free and will take place at 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. in the AcA's James D. Moncus Theater. The Second Saturday ArtWalk will be taking place simultaneously downtown.
