Daigle-ing in the wind

A longtime writer for local Gannett papers The Times of Acadiana and The Daily Advertiser, Cody Daigle is now a freelancer.

Daigle, a Lafayette playwright and print journalist, will have the last of his work for The Times run on Thursday, May 12. He was with the paper for several years and wrote a good portion of The Times' content, from interviews to reviews to columns. In his personal and even more creative-writing work, Daigle's plays have found great success not only locally but across the country.

What is next for Daigle? He just finished a month-long residency in Tulsa, Okla. In October he'll be in Iowa for another performance of one of his plays, then it's back to Tulsa in February 2012. There is definitely more to come from his fingers, but for this week, Daigle says in his mother tongue of wit, "I'm a lady of leisure."
