Soup's On for May 11

A short film by local writers and filmmakers premieres in downtown Lafayette on Wednesday.
Soup's On is a psychological drama. Starring local writer, actor and teacher Stephen Cooper and actor Rachel G. Whittle, it is about the difficulties of marriage once the dreams of each partner no longer match up. Whittle's character is a wife who dreams of becoming a professional chef and her husband, Cooper's character, sees their future differently.

This original screenplay was written by Ross Thibodeaux. Director was Misty Talley and Director of Photography was Natalie Kingston. You can catch it at Cite des Arts on Vine Street in downtown Lafayette at 7 p.m. May 11. It's a free show but donations are always welcome. You can catch it again at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 as part of the Acadiana Center for the Arts Local Filmmakers Showcase, as well.
