Nidal Balbeisi might have broken a record. Two weeks after a fire destroyed much of Agave Mexican Grill and Cantina's kitchen, downtown's most aggressive restaurateur is welcoming customers back.
"We're back in business. Get your margaritas, quesadillas, everything, tonight at 5 o'clock," Balbeisi says.
On Thursday, Aug. 18, a fire that started shortly after 7 p.m. in a trash can near the rear entrance to the kitchen caused significant damage. No one was hurt.
