Rockabilly in Sans Souci tonight

Roll up your sleeves, grease your hair and call your favorite bobbysoxer because tonight Robbie Taylor takes the Downtown Alive! stage.

Roll up your sleeves, grease your hair and call your favorite bobbysoxer because tonight Robbie Taylor takes the Downtown Alive! stage.

Robbie Taylor is from the band The Roebucks that have been around since the early 90's. Taylor is a devoted fan of Buddy Holly and anyone who recorded at Sun Studio. Rockabilly is really just rock-and-roll you can truly dance to, a heavy beat mixed with a hillbilly twang and good heart with rock sentiments. It should be a good time, not only because of the talent on stage but because the audience will be a mix of those who were dancing to Elvis when he was alive and people born after his death trolling the scene for the best Pabst Blue Ribbon specials.

Parc Sans Souci is the park next to the parking garage, also known as "that one park with the cool fountain." Bring cash so you can purchase drink tickets. Soft drinks and alcohol will be served. Check out one of the restaurants downtown, like French Press, Legend's, Agave, Trynd, Pamplona's, Guama's and more for great grub before and after. The downtown powers-that-be respectfully request you leave ice chests and dogs and home.

Parking is readily available on the street and in the garage. Fun begins around 5:30 p.m.
