Nungesser camp files ethics complaint against Dardenne

The complaint accuses Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne of using state resources to wage his campaign.

A California-based consultant to Plaquesmines Parish President Billy Nungesser tells The Advocate he has filed a complaint with the Louisiana Board of Ethics accusing Nungesser's electoral rival, Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne, of using state resources to wage his campaign. Kathleen Allen, chief administrator for the board, declined to confirm the filing of the complaint citing state law prohibiting such disclosures.

Dardenne, meanwhile, is denying the charges.
