by Walter Pierce

The documentary by local filmmakers Allison Bohl and Conni Castille airs at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 5, on the Documentary Channel.

King Crawfish, the 2010 documentary by local filmmakers Allison Bohl and Conni Castille, is among 31 films chosen for the "Best of Doc" contest by the Documentary Channel. The network, which is evidently only available on some tiers of Dish Network and DirecTV in our area, is airing the documentaries each night in December. King Crawfish, which according to promotional materials "juxtaposes the joyous abandon of the Cajuns at the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival with the water and land rights battles between private land owners and the Atchafalaya Basin crawfishermen," airs at 8 p.m. and again at 11 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 5.
