Leave it to Crystall and Richard Young and the party planners of Event Rental to transform a school gym on Kaliste Saloom Road into carnival magic for an exclusive New Year's Eve soiree. Sexy dancers decked out as exotic cats go-goed in colorful cages for the swankily-dressed crowd. There was even a beautiful mermaid greeting guests at the sushi table.

Old and new Kappa Deltas strengthened their sisterhood this fall during a ceremony in which the sorority was recognized for being named national chapter of the year. National Kappa Delta President Beth Martin Langford, UL President Dr. Joe Savoie and City-Parish President Joey Durel were on hand to applaud the young women's achievement.
