Solon targets Jindal's records. Again.

Yet another attempt will be made to legally compel the office of Gov. Bobby Jindal to open up more of its records to public and legislative scrutiny, something the administration has successfully resisted in the past.

Yet another attempt will be made to legally compel the office of Gov. Bobby Jindal to open up more of its records to public and legislative scrutiny, something the administration has successfully resisted in the past.

House Bill 291, pre-filed by Rep. Dee Richard, an independent from Thibodaux, would make Jindal's records subject to the same laws as the records of other state agencies, allowing certain records to remain confidential for only a week and mandating that all records from the governor's office be made public after a decade.

"I know there are some examples where we could do a better job of opening up some of those records," Richard tells The Times-Picayune.
