$1 Million Hole-in-One qualifying begins Friday

Players will qualify during their regular rounds on designated par-three holes, with the closest five shots each day advancing to the finals.

Qualifying begins this weekend for the Cypress Bayou Casino $1 Million Hole-In-One Shootout, the opening event of the 21st annual Chitimacha Louisiana Open.

Events are scheduled Friday at Hebert Municipal and Saturday at The Farm d'Allie in the first weekend for players to qualify for the March 18 finals at Le Triomphe, where players will have a chance at a $1 million prize for a hole-in-one.

Qualifying will be held all day at each location. Players will qualify during their regular rounds on designated par-three holes, with the closest five shots each day advancing to the finals. Proceeds go to the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) and its rescue and adoption programs as part of the Louisiana Open's charity program.

Later qualifying events will be held at Oakbourne, The Wetlands, Les Vieux Chenes and the Open's Le Triomphe home course. In a new feature this year, qualifying will also be held on the PGA Tour Simulator at The Golf Connection retail store Monday-Thursday, March 12-15, from 4-6 p.m. Information on all qualifying is available by calling (337) 857-8754.
