[Editor's Note: This story has been updated to correct the time of Pat Cooper's turnaround plan presentation. The School Board will first hear Cooper's plan at a 4 p.m. workshop Wednesday. The Ind regrets the error.]

Lafayette Parish School System Superintendent Pat Cooper will present his "100% In ... 100% Out" preliminary district improvement plan during Wednesday's board meeting. The first public presentation of Lafayette Parish School System Superintendent Pat Cooper's preliminary district-wide turnaround plan is set to take place during a 4 p.m.  board workshop that precedes Wednesday's regular school board meeting.

Cooper says he'll hold off on revealing any details of his "100% In ... 100% Out" plan before Wednesday's meeting, but he notes that the final draft will be delivered to board members Tuesday afternoon.

"It's a lot to digest," Cooper says.

The board workshop starts at 4 p.m. at central office on Chaplin Drive.  The school board meets at 5:30 p.m. Both meetings are open to the public.

The superintendent is also slated to present his proposal at an April 10 community meeting hosted by the Lafayette Parish Public Education Stakeholders Council, a collective of 10 civic groups - the Lafayette Parish School System is back on board - working to increase academic achievement in Lafayette Parish. The meeting is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at David Thibodaux Career & Technical High School.

The school board will decide the fate of Cooper's plan April 18.
