Lafayette City-Court Judge Francie Bouillion has served on the bench for two decades since winning a special election to replace Judge Kaliste Saloom when he retired in 1994.
Lafayette City-Court Judge Francie Bouillion has announced her plan to seek re-election on Nov. 4. Bouillion has served on the bench for two decades since winning a special election to replace Judge Kaliste Saloom when he retired in 1994.
"It has been my honor to serve as judge of Lafayette City Court for the past 20 years," Bouillion says in a release announcing her candidacy. "I have worked diligently to provide those who come before the court my undivided attention so that their case gets a fair hearing. I have also worked hard to maintain the unquestioned integrity of Lafayette City Court which celebrated its first century of existence
just a few years ago."
"Our court has grown, just as has our community," Bouillion continues. "As chief judge of the court, I've worked with my colleagues over the years to ensure that we handle our growing docket of
cases fairly and efficiently."
