What to BUY for ... Luncheon for a cause

by Amanda Bedgood

What to BUY for that lovely ladies luncheon is the Special of the Day at INDStyle. We're serving up garden fresh dresses perfect whatever your shape just in time for United Way's annual gathering of fabulous ladies with heart.

The Women's Leadership Council luncheon slated for the Double Tree by Hilton on Wednesday (Click here now to buy tickets. It's the last day.) is always an inspirational gathering of women working to make a difference. Focusing on early childhood literacy over the years and contributing to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, the council aims to increase early learning opportunities for children and other issues affecting the quality of family life.

So, what's a gal to wear? This year the theme is very "garden party" and thus we picked three perfectly demure dresses no matter your body shape.

The sheath. This vivid brilliant hot pink is a truly timeless piece that works from a string of pearls at a luncheon to date night with a sparkling necklace and to the office with a simple blazer. We found this one at Hemline.

The flirty circle skirt. The skater dress and variations of the more voluminous skirt can be found everywhere for spring and summer. This preppy piece from Brother's on the Blvd. in mint seersucker is just right for summer daytime events from Saturday afternoon weddings to brunch and baby showers. Perfect for an hourglass figure.

The maxi. A flattering shape, a springy coral belt and a pop of color on the necklace keep the graphic black and white prints super fresh this time of year. This maxi from Vanessa V. is a figure-flattering cut with some stretch for all day comfort.
