The Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies of Acadiana announced its 2015-2016 board of directors. President Alex Gray, joint interest supervisor with Stone Energy Corporation, is an LSU/UNO MBA graduate. Vice President Caroline D. Bonin, CFO advisory consultant with Caroline D. Bonin, is a UL Lafayette/Tulane MBA graduate with work experience in public accounting, banking and the oil and gas industry.

Treasurer Vickie LeDee, senior tax accountant at Postlethwaite and Netterville, is a UL graduate and her specialty is corporate taxation for the oil and gas industry. Secretary Charlotte Bordelon, revenue/ production accountant at Stone Energy Corporation, is a graduate of UL whose work experience has been in the oil and gas industry. Society Joint Interest Liaison Crystal Meaux, joint interest accountant at PetroQuest Energy, is a graduate of UL. COPAS is a nonprofit organization that seeks to provide expertise to the oil and gas industry through the development of accounting procedures, publications and education. It is a forum for the active exchange of ideas resulting in innovative business and accounting solutions.

Chris Mouton has opened Water Well Professionals at 14324 W. LA Highway 330 in Abbeville. The company, which primarily serves clients in the industrial and agricultural sectors, can drill any type of commercial or residential well. It also repairs and cleans existing wells.

Lafayette native Shanna Dorion has founded Biz Knocks, a professional development and character education company. Dorion is a Certified Corporate Etiquette Consultant and a Ziglar Legacy Certified Trainer, the only such trainer in Southern Louisiana and one of only two in the state. She works with businesses to help bridge the gap between the employees and the employer. Through in-house training workshops, one-on-one coaching, consulting and keynote speaking, she consults professionals with the skills needed to be successful, confident and effective in their roles. Customized trainings and programs are available to small and large businesses, organizations and individuals. Youth programs are available for schools, organizations and private parties, and initial consultations are free. Dorion earned a bachelor’s degree in business from UNO and has 17 years of banking experience.

Jake Delhomme was elected to the board of directors of MidSouth Bancorp Inc. for a three-year term. Delhomme was first appointed to subsidiary MidSouth Bank’s board in 2013 and was reappointed to a second one-year term on the bank’s board in May. The retired NFL Pro Bowl quarterback, 40, also serves as a member of the Director’s Loan Committee. Delhomme, who first joined the MidSouth Bank enterprise as an advisory board member in mid-2012, was recruited for his business acumen, civic commitment to the Lafayette area and for the determination he exhibited through the ups and downs of his professional career. The former UL Lafayette standout was signed by the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in the 1997 NFL Draft and played for five seasons. In 2003 he signed with the Carolina Panthers and was the starting quarterback from 2003 to 2009, breaking multiple franchise records and leading the Panthers to Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2003. Along with his brother and father, Delhomme spends his retirement from the NFL raising and training thoroughbred race horses and is first VP of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association.

Dr. Lise Anne D. Slatten has been named interim associate dean of Academic Programs for the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration at UL Lafayette. She is overseeing accreditation compliance and curriculum management for the college’s academic programs. In 2014, she was awarded the Dr. Joe Kite BORSF Professorship in Governmental Ethics. She has received awards for Excellence in Academic Advising every year since 2009. Slatten’s research articles have been widely published in academic journals, including the International Journal of Public Administration, American Journal of Management, International Journal of Organization Theory and Behavior, Organization Management Journal and Journal of Applied Management and Entrepreneurship.

Slatten is faculty adviser for two campus organizations, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and Ragin’ Cajun Catholics. She serves on the university athletics committee and is faculty liaison for the men’s basketball team.

She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Prior to joining the faculty at UL Lafayette, Slatten worked nearly 30 years for nonprofits. She has more than 15 years of experience as a nonprofit governance consultant. She is past president of the Junior League of Lafayette and a graduate of Leadership Lafayette. She earned her MBA from Tulane University and a doctorate of management degree from Case Western Reserve University.
