The renowned Cirque du Soleil group arrived this week in Lafayette for its latest tour — Toruk: The First Flight. The show is inspired by the movie Avatar and is a live immersive multimedia experience at the Cajundome Friday through Sunday.

Toruk is a fusion of cutting-edge visuals, puppetry and stagecraft set to a dramatic score all with the unmistakable essence of Cirque du Soleil.

In an effort to immerse audience members in a new way, Toruk will be the first show of its kind with an app. According to organizers the app will "enhance the overall show experience and enable members to be a part of the action before, after and during the performance."
