For many of us, local TV news just won’t be the same. On Monday, KLFY TV-10 anchor Blue Rolfes announced on the air and via Facebook video that she is leaving the station in March after almost four decades.
She was later promoted to anchor and currently co-anchors the 5 p.m. newscast.
In the video (expect more tributes — and many more hairstyles — throughout the month of February), Rolfes says she will begin a new chapter in her life, and a source close to her tells ABiz the new position is outside of TV broadcasting. The source says she’ll disclose more information about the post in early March.
Rolfes is married to former Lafayette Consolidated Government CAO Dee Stanley, now vice president of Sides & Associates.
