Downtown Alive! recently released its fall 2013 music schedule featuring Chubby Carrier, Feufollet, Rayo Brothers, Carbon Poppies and Pine Leaf Boys.
Acadiana's premiere free concert series Downtown Alive! returns Friday, Sept. 13, to launch its fall season with a special Kickoff Celebration at Parc International with 80s tribute favorites the Molly Ringwalds. The kickoff celebration will also mark the start of the UL Ragin' Cajuns home-game season welcoming Nicholls fans that are in town for the game.
The Fall season will continue every Friday through the fall with performances from Grammy Award winning zydeco artist Chubby Carrier, BandSwamp featuring Fiasco and Feufollet, Travis Matte, Carbon Poppies and Cardinal Sons and many more. The season draws to a close on Nov. 27 with a special Downtown Holiday Celebration with the Pine Leaf Boys.
Downtown Alive! starts at 5:30 p.m., every friday with food and beverage concessions followed by musical performances at 6 p.m. Sales from concessions help to keep DTA! a free concert series so attendees are asked to keep their ice chests at home along with their pets.
