What is going on with Kleinpeter?
MAY 21 Complaints about Kleinpeter milk have been popping up on social media for a while now, and here's a story in the Baton Rouge Business Report about some of the problems the Louisiana dairy has had. These problems, including fast-spoiling products and chemical-tasting milk, are putting a dent in the popular company's brand, the story reports.

Aswell update: cooking books nothing new
MAY 21 Here's an update to blogger Tom Aswell's recent post about the state Department of Education "cooking the books" to make the Recovery School District look like it is doing better than it is. Apparently, this is not a new practice -- and has been around about as long as the RSD has, Aswell tells us in this post.

More on the stinky test score stuff
MAY 21 Blogger Crazy Crawfish gives us a little more info on the (alleged) shenanigans involving the test scores of our state's students in this post by Mercedes Schneider. Ian on the prediction that missed by millions
MAY 21 If you're not on the Facebook, you might not have known that the government was scheduled for over-throw recently. MAY 21 Blogger CB Forgotston usually saves his ire for elected officials and government bureaucrats. But now he's ticked off at some (unnamed) members of the media who won't return his phone calls.

Dreher talking about the gay people again
MAY 21 At some point, one begins to wonder why blogger Rod Dreher has to talk about homosexuals so much. He even pulls this discussion of NPR's cancellation of "Tell Me More" around to a "let's blame the gay people" discussion, throwing around terms like "liberal media-speak" and "sexual minorities." He also reiterates an old argument of his, in which he says NPR is liberal but its patrons are not.
