MAR 10 This post on the Red Shtick is part satire, part reality. Unfortunately. Again. Seems Bob Mann, who teaches journalism at LSU, wrote a post on his blog calling out LABI for its thundering silence while Bobby Jindal dismantles our state universities. In response, Bobby Jindal's former employee and big ole buddy, who now runs LABI, threatened Mann's job. The Shtick posts this post about how evil Bob is for, you know, doing his job and stuff. It's simply dripping with sarcasm, and it's lovely!

GO ASK ALICE - ABOUT THE LEGISLATURE
MAR 10 Blogger CB Forgotston takes some liberties with Lewis Carroll in this post about Bobby Jindal's crew presenting their budget to the legislature. It's nonsensical, but not just because of CB's touch - it's also hardly likely that anybody at the Legislature would question the bull puckey that Jindal feeds them on an annual basis.

MAR 10 Blogger Tom Aswell unleashes his not inconsiderable skill at invective upon USA Today in this post. What earned his ire? A post that was ridiculously inaccurate, even for Gannett, about Bobby Jindal and his tenure as Governor. Possibly the most ridiculous statement in the article was that Bobby had a balanced budget. Let's see: He got in office, there was a $1 billion surplus. Now, it's $1.6 billion in the red. Hmm. Maybe they lost their dictionary?

EXPERT: WE SHOULD TRY TO KEEP THE WATER IN NOLA
MAR 10 This is an interesting post on The Lens featuring comments from a groundwater expert who says the pumping system that drains all the water out of New Orleans after heavy rains is a mistake. Instead of draining the water, NOLA should focus on keeping the water in the city; under control, but in the city. That would help with the sinking, this expert opines.

HACKERS TRY TO GAME THE INTERWEBS WITH FAKE LOUISIANA STORY
MAR 10 Here's an interesting post on the boingboing blog. It's about an attempted manipulation of social media that occurred last fall, and involved a Louisiana town. Hackers tried to create some hysteria with a fake story about an explosion in Centerville. They failed - and this post has a theory on why.

CLANCY ON THE FOUR DECLARED LT. GOV CANDIDATES
MAR 10 Clancy DuBos gives us a thumbnail sketch of each of the four guys who have (so far) declared their intentions of running for the Lt. Governor post. It's a little restrained (i.e. he doesn't even mention chicken boxing), but it hits the high points.
Tuesday's Blogs from the Bog!
The Red Shtick tells us about how the evil, evil Bob Mann is wasting his time as a professor of journalism by committing -- journalism! Horrors! Also today, we've got CB Lewis Carrolling, and Tom Aswell goes off on USA Today.
