JUN 10 Blogger Tom Aswell has an interesting perspective on the letter a dozen Republican leges sent over to Grover Norquist, asking permission to balance our budget. He thinks it just might be a trap set for Bobby Jindal, designed to make him look bad shortly before his big announcement (Which, by the way will be in Kenner. Kenner is not New Orleans. But, being from Iowa, Bobby probably doesn't know that). It's possible. It's also possible that it wasn't intended as a trap, but it just works out that way.

JUN 10 Blogger Rod Dreher is writing about something he calls "Republican misrule" in this post, and since it is topped by a big ole photo of Grover Norquist, you know it's going to be entertaining - since Rod's blog appears on The American Conservative. And it is; it really is.

JUN 10 Here's an interesting post on NOLA Defender featuring the victim's side of a bizarre stabbing incident that happened in New Orleans involving a friend of the sister of Beyonce Knowles. The police reports and other stories about the incident are just plain wrong, she says.

JUN 10 Columnist Stephanie Grace waxes poetic here about the "nonsense on a stick" that is SAVE, the fake fee that nobody will pay that is supposed to plug our $1.6 billion budget hole and make sure Grover's knickers don't get in a knot.

BROWN ON WALKER PERCY AND LOUISIANA
JUN 10 This week Jim Brown is blogging about Walker Percy, some history about the author and his connections to Louisiana. Jim thinks Percy would have made a good governor for Louisiana. But hey - the bar's not all that high right now, is it?
Wednesday's Blogs from the Bog!
Admiral Ackbar could be right! Look out Bobby - it's a trap! Also today, we've got Dreher on "Republican misrule" and Brown on Walker Percy.
