ASO, Romero team up for free downtown July 4 concert

If you’re still pondering your 4th of July options, downtown Lafayette plays host to the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra’s free annual Independence Day concert tomorrow night, which promises musical fireworks for classical music lovers and south Louisiana music lovers alike.

Local favorites Roddy Romero and the Hub City All Stars, still riding high on their Grammy-nominated The La Louisianne Sessions, open the show and will then join ASO for a special collaboration.

Gates open at Parc International at 6 p.m.; for more info and a preview of the show from Romero and Maestro and ASO Musical Director Mariusz Smolij, read more here.
