The GOP's other La. star

by Nathan Stubbs

It's been a roller coaster week for Anh "Joseph" Cao (pronounced gow, rhymes with cow). But since the little known New Orleans immigration attorney's improbable upset over corruption-plagued and entrenched incumbent Congressman William Jefferson Saturday, Cao is now being held up as a shining beacon in what has otherwise been a dismal year for the Republican Party. Cao is featured in today's Washington Post, which notes that less than 24 hours after Cao's election, Republican House Minority Leader John Boehner issued a memo declaring, "The future is Cao."
