Police shut down the NOLA Art House, a housing and art co-op located in the Treme neighborhood in New Orleans.

Count this as one of the more absurd and arbitrary things to go down in New Orleans over Mardi Gras week. Police shut down the NOLA Art House, a housing and art co-op located in the Treme neighborhood in New Orleans, for supposed fire code violations. In a run up to Mardi Gras, the forced shut down came just hours before residents of the house were scheduled to host a mini-local music festival.
