Editor Scott Jordan and photographer Scott Saltzman chartered a plane out of Houma to survey the damage from Hurricane Katrina in the parishes outside New Orleans. They flew south to Port Fourchon, then circled north through Grand Isle, Venice and the communities along the Mississippi River toward New Orleans. This is what they saw.
