ArtWalk calendar for July 2011

by Anna Purdy

The second Saturday of every month in downtown Lafayette is devoted to promoting the visual arts via ArtWalk.

"Sunrise, Sunset," by Cynthia Alleman, will be on display at Gallery R at The Russo Group.

The second Saturday of every month in downtown Lafayette is devoted to promoting the visual arts via ArtWalk. Come rain or shine or heat, it goes down. Many places will have complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres. Retail stores, businesses and galleries all have artwork to both be admired and sold and for a nice price as original works are exempt from state sales tax if sold in the Downtown Lafayette Cultural District. ArtWalk happens from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
