LAGCOE, which closed out its 28th industry showcase Thursday, awarded first place exhibitor honors to PetroHab, Ezy-Lift, Map Oil Tools, Begneaud Manufacturing, Dragon Products/Tiger Offshore Rentals and Dupre Energy Services.
The Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition, which held its 28th show last week, an event that had been sold out since August, honored 18 companies among the 400 that exhibited. Six companies earned first place honors in a competition that judged creativity, esthetics and product knowledge demonstrated by company personnel.
The Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission estimates that the biennial show, among the largest in the country with a draw in excess of 15,000 people, has an immediate economic impact of $10.5 million over the 10-day period - the time frame that includes set up, three show days and tear down.
"LAGCOE welcomed eight experienced industry professionals from across the U.S. who carefully reviewed each company exhibit to select award recipients," said Mark Barton, operations engineer with Brammer Engineering and chair of the LAGCOE exhibit judges. "We recognize the enormous amount of work our exhibitors put forth to present pertinent oil and gas industry equipment and services to decision makers attending LAGCOE."
First, second and third place winners were chosen in six different categories. First place winners were: PetroHab LLC, Single Outside Booth; Ezy-Lift, Multi Outside Booth; Map Oil Tools, Single Inside Booth; Begneaud Manufacturing Inc., Multi Inside Booth; Dragon Products/Tiger Offshore Rentals, Multi Super Booth; and Dupre Energy Services, 1st Time Exhibitor.
