Cajuns fall to Boise State 45-10 in season opener

Jeremy McNichols rushed for a pair of first-half touchdowns and added a 48-yard scoring pass in the second quarter as Boise State built a 35-3 lead at halftime and defeated the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, 45-10, in the season-opener for both teams Sept. 3 at Cajun Field. With 17 players seeing their first action in a Ragin’ Cajuns uniform, Louisiana (0-1) finished with 267 yards of total offense with transfer quarterback Anthony Jennings completing 21 of 33 passes for 186 yards and a TD pass. Elijah McGuire led the Cajuns with 46 yards rushing while catching a team-high six passes.
