A few highlights for tonight's after-Fest pleasures are:
Feed 'n' Seed - Tonight downtown Lafayette's newest live music venue features performers that couldn't be more diametrically opposed. First it's the Mercy Brothers and Brother Dege with a show starting at 8 p.m. bringing that so-good-it-hurts soulful Southern noise. Beginning at midnight, however, is a dubstep party to end them all with poi dancers and hula hoopers performing and catered noshes for the hungry crowd. If you don't know what dubstep is then you probably don't like it.
Wild Salmon - This honky tonk off the beaten path has Louisiana foot-stompers Bas Clas tonight starting around 9 p.m. tonight. The Wild Salmon is off of Foreman and Dulles so call a cab and buckle in for a great show.
Blue Moon Saloon - Tonight has its Rhythm & Roots series with Lafayette's own FIGHTS and the Canadian band Radio Radio. Unlike dubstep, if you haven't yet heard FIGHTS it's your new favorite band and you just don't know it yet.
Artmosphere - Brass Bed and the Amazing Nuns to the stage starting around 9:30 p.m. tonight. This is the Nuns first show in two years and Brass Bed have been steadily touring and making a name for themselves.
