League of Women Voters gears up for Session 2013

The League of Women Voters of Lafayette, in preparation for the 2013 session of the Louisiana Legislature, will host a workshop Tuesday featuring state Sen. Fred Mills, R-Parks, and state Rep. Terry Landry Sr., D-Lafayette.

The League of Women Voters of Lafayette, in preparation for the 2013 session of the Louisiana Legislature, will host a workshop Tuesday featuring state Sen. Fred Mills, R-Parks, and state Rep. Terry Landry Sr., D-Lafayette.

Tuesday's workshop will focus on important issues set to go before the Legislature this session, which begins April 8, according to a press release issued by the League. The press release continues: "(Mills and Landry) will demonstrate how to follow a particular bill as it is introduced, worked through committees and brought up for votes in both chambers. They will also discuss the legislative process in general."
