This outdoor festival is hosted by St. Thomas Moore students and is packed full of fun like music, food and activities. Some of the bands on deck to perform include MacKenzie Bourg, Keith Frank and Royal Teeth. Tickets are $5 for adults and $ for children. Starting at 8 a.m., there's also a 5K run for the event. Sign up here to get your sweat on for a good cause.

PLAYday, Women's and Children's Hospital
600 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy.
Saturday, April 12 , 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
This summer activities fair is a place for parents to see what's going on in Acadiana from summer camps and other programs for their children - it's a one stop shop to explore options and bring the kids along to have some fun. Vendors provide small activities and entertainment like carnival-style games, a rock wall and even an E.R. teddy bear clinic (be sure to bring your beloved stuffie from home). Admission is free and open to the public.

Third Annual Helicopter Egg Drop, Comeaux High School
Saturday, April 12 , 100 W. Bluebird Drive
11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The sky is falling - no, it's just Easter eggs. 15,000 plastic eggs will be dropped from a helicopter for children to collect. Children are split by age groups for hunting and this year there will also be a field for special needs children. The kiddos can redeem their collected eggs for loot after the event and have some fun with fun jumps and food for sale on site. There's no charge to join in this egg-citing time hosted by Nouvelle Church.
