Everybody loves the late George Rodrigue's Blue Dog paintings, but if you haven't been to the famous Blue Dog Café, then you're missing out on a delicious part of Rodrigue's colorful legacy.

Blue Dog Café's lunch menu is filled with yummy Cajun creations, but the Louisiana Purchase is what we're chowing down on today. This dish is a generous bowl of penne pasta, marinated grilled chicken breast and artichokes with an absolutely divine herbed wine and cream sauce. Blue Dog's vegetable du jour is served on the side with your Louisiana Purchase. Treat your lunchtime hunger to this satisfying taste of Louisiana.

Other popular items on the menu include crawfish enchiladas, crabmeat Florentine and the remarkable honey-glazed duck. If your stomach is ready to come and try out Blue Dog's lunch menu, it's available Monday-Friday starting at 11 a.m. All of the items on the lunch menu range from $8.95-$15.95

Leave a little room for dessert - the bread pudding with pecan praline sauce will sate your sweet tooth and make your day a little happier.
