by Kari Walker

It's simple seafood served on the half-shell

Lafayette has some great seafood restaurants, and even though Poor Boy's Riverside Inn is in Broussard, you should definitely add it to your list of favorite seafood stops. Today's dish of the day is the ever simple yet succlent raw oysters on the half-shell.

The oysters are served along with Riverside Inn's delectable cocktail sauce, lemon and horseradish - perfect for adding a little spice to those oysters. If oysters aren't really your style, however, there are plenty of other choices to satisfy your palate. Their fried crab fingers are more than worthy of your attention. The whole grilled flounder certainly won't disappoint - you can even try it stuffed.
