Cooking Channel showcases a Canadian's trip to Cajun country

Chef Chuck Hughes of "Chuck's Eat the Street" visits area Lafayette restaurants and chefs like Bread & Circus Provisions' Manny Augello

"Chuck's Eat the Street" is a Cooking Channel show where Canadian chef Chuck Hughes hits some of the most famous streets in America like Mission Street in San Francisco and Walnut Street in Philadelphia - Hughes recently visited many streets here in Lafayette to go inside the kitchens of several popular local restaurants.

Viewers can expect to see footage filmed in the kitchens of Jolie's Louisiana Bistro, Cafe Vermilionville, Krazy Klaws and Bread & Circus Provisions. After tuning in, no doubt you'll be craving a bowl Bread & Circus chef Manny Augello's ramen with miso broth, pork and a pickled quail egg that was served to Hughes while filming the show.

The episode titled "A Candadian Goes Cajun" is expected to air during mid-September with multiple airings: Sept. 18 at 9:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., Sept. 21 at 2:00 p.m. and Sept. 23 at 4:00 p.m.
