Martini contest underway
The mix masters at Ruffino's are whipping up a special concoction for the fashionistas next week just for the INDstyle Awards. This is your chance to give it a name (and score tickets, two complimentary martinis and your mug in Party Girl).
The pear-centric martini includes Absolut Pear, edlerflower liquor and fresh squeezed lime juice. And go! Send your best stab at a cool name to [email protected].
Ruffino's on the River will also sponsor the first ever INDstyle VIP Loft where ticket holders for the runway VIP seats can hang pre-party, sip drinks and nibble hors d'oeuvres selected by Ruffino's chef.
Joining Ruffino's in sponsorship for the annual awards honoring style is Coushatta Casino Resort, Louisiana's premier casino resort located in nearby Kinder. The largest casino resort in the state has a huge gaming floor, lux hotel and RV resort, six fabulous restaurants and an 18-hole golf course (named by Golf Digest as one of the Best Places to Play in 2013) plus two entertainment venues.
The awards and fashion show at Acadiana Center for the Arts will honor style mavens:
Bill Bacqué, Rozalyn Galyean, Mike Larson, Mary Ann Mirian, Stephen Ortego, Clyde Simien, Rickey Miniex, Victoria Toups and Lainey and Rye Tuten. And the event includes a killer style show from local stores including: Brother's on the Blvd., kiki, Hemline, HerringStone's, Park Lane, Shoe Fits, Shoe La La and Vertage.
