METAIRIE, La. (AP) — New Orleans Saints running back Khiry Robinson, who has missed the past six games with a forearm injury, has returned to practice on a limited basis.

Coach Sean Payton says Robinson is using a brace and that everything looked good in Wednesday‘s practice, though the team still wants to take a careful look at how much action they give Robinson in his first game back.

Robinson says he‘s ready to return to whatever role the Saints need from him.

Robinson rushed for 330 yards and two touchdowns in the first six games this season. His 5.2 yards per carry is the best among Saints running backs.

New Orleans, which is tied with Atlanta for first place in the NFC South Division, hosts Carolina on Sunday.
