Coca-Cola Lafayette has secured the exclusive pouring rights to serve its products within the Cajundome for the venue’s numerous recreational and athletic events.

After submitting its proposal, Coca-Cola successfully beat out Acadiana Bottling Company, which has served its Pepsi products at the Cajundome for nearly 30 years, and began serving Coke products at the Cajundome Nov. 1.

“It was a very smooth transition,” says Lee Tatford, division vice president for Coca-Cola Lafayette. “The Cajundome was very helpful in allowing us to get in there and make the changes that we needed to made as far as equipment. We’ve done some signage, and we’re in the process of continuing to upgrade things as we go.”

The Cajundome now joins Cajun Field and the UL Lafayette campus on Coca-Cola Lafayette’s impressive list of venues that exclusively stock its products.

According to Tatford, the company plans to use its packaging and promotional resources to help promote future events at the Cajundome.

“We look forward to a wonderful partnership with them,” says Tatford. “We have probably 95 percent of the events as far as festivals in the area go, and we like being a part of the Lafayette and Acadiana Cajun Culture. This is just another opportunity for us to touch the folks of Acadiana.”
