AOC Community Media is looking for volunteers interested in supporting the community while gaining new skills as part of its latest project called Take On Lafayette.
Volunteers, either individually or as part of a crew, will choose assignments according to their interests and then record non-commercial local events on behalf of community organizations. To accomplish this, AOC is accepting volunteers of all levels from beginners to professionals.
Volunteers who join a Take On Lafayette crew will receive free on-assignment coaching and free access to the necessary equipment. Content that is recorded and editing by volunteer crew members will ultimately be seen on AOC’s two television channels, Cox Communications 15 & 16 and LUS Fiber 3 & 4, as well as online.
