Bills jeopardize coastal funding

Lawmakers in the spring legislative session in Baton Rouge are desperate for cash. Every piggy bank has been cracked, every cupboard emptied and every junk drawer rattled. Now, The Lens reports, they’ve filed bills that would remove constitutional protections on the funding sources for Louisiana’s ambitious and when-will-we-ever-afford-it? Coastal Protection and Restoration Fund.
