Joshua L. Proffitt will be elevated to chief financial officer and treasurer at LHC Group on April 30. Since August 2012, he has served as executive vice president of corporate development and general counsel. Proffitt will retain his EVP title.
Proffitt, who joined the home health and hospice provider in 2008, also previously served as senior vice president, chief compliance officer and assistant general counsel since April 2009.
Before accepting a position at LHC Group, he was a senior associate in the Corporate Healthcare Practice Group at Alston & Bird LLP, a firm he joined in 2002. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his JD degree from the University of Kentucky.
Proffitt replaces LHC Group’s EVP/CFO/Treasurer Dionne E. Viator, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.
