Lafayette Economic Development Authority President and CEO Gregg Gothreaux will present the 2016 LEDA Economic Performance Index at the fifth annual ABiz State of the Economy Luncheon Thursday, June 16, at noon at The Cajundome Convention Center. LEDA’s EPI is a dashboard summary that compiles 15,000 data points into 15 key statistics that provide instant insight and identifies important trends over time. It provides valuable information for business decision-makers facing an uncertain business climate.

“This year’s State of the Economy presentation will answer some of the questions that persist about the local economy,” says Gothreaux. “We’ll take a closer look at how the downturn in the energy sector has affected the EPI and other local indicators. Recent good news, diversification efforts and the community’s long-term outlook will round out the information shared this year.”

Washington State Bank returns as the presenting SOTE sponsor. “We’ve been working with business owners in Acadiana for 123 years as this region’s economy has grown and become steadily more sophisticated,” says Sue Soileau Brignac, the bank’s president and CEO. “The State of the Economy report represents that like no other and LEDA’s work is first rate. We’re glad to play a role in bringing such invaluable information to the local business community.”

Supporting sponsors include The Acadiana Economic Development Council and One Acadiana.

This is a “don’t miss” event, but seating is limited. Individual tickets are $45; premium reserved tables of eight are $395. Deadline for reservations is Thursday, June 9, at noon. Contact Sandi Williams at (337) 769-8603 or email [email protected] for info.
