Charles Fenstermaker

Charles Fenstermaker has been elevated to chief financial officer of Fenstermaker & Associates following the retirement of longtime CFO Dan Lavergne. Lavergne, who retired June 3, held the post for 18 years and was instrumental in developing the company’s current accounting structure and building its financial team.

Charles is the former director of administrative operations for the Lafayette-based engineering and surveying company. He has held various positions with the firm since 1995 when he began working as a survey technician and was promoted to quality and training manager in 2002. In 2005, he was named director of human resources and in 2007 was selected to oversee the company’s Houston office as director of operations, a position he held until 2010. He played a pivotal role in establishing and growing the Houston office to meet the growing demand for the company’s services in that market.

Charles is the grandson of the company’s founder, Charles Howard Fenstermaker Jr., and the son of CEO William H. Fenstermaker. Last year the company ranked 38th on ABiz’s list of the Top 50 Private Companies in the Acadiana region, with $42 million in 2014 revenues.

Charles has an MBA from UL Lafayette and is active in numerous community organizations. He serves on the Executive Committee of One Acadiana and is a board member for the Leadership Institute of Acadiana. He was a member of the board of directors for the Lafayette Charter Foundation in 2014 and 2015.
