Gulf Brew returns this Saturday

The countdown to Gulf Brew 2016 is on as Acadiana’s largest beer festival returns on Saturday, July 30 at Blackham Coliseum from 6 - 9 p.m.

This year, Gulf Brew has secured the young, fresh talent of Lafayette’s Zydeco Radio to perform throughout the festival. Described by bassist, Seth Rung, as a “zydeco hybrid,” the band infuses rock, blues, and energy into traditional zydeco music.

Joining Gulf Brew to serve a different area of entertainment is a group of five local food vendors. Gulf Brew will host Social Southern Table & Bar, Taco Sisters, Burgersmith, The Wurst Biergarten and Deano’s Pizza.

The menu will include gumbo po-boys with andouille sausage, gumbo reduction, potato salad schmear, cinnamon sugar cracklins and spicy ranch cracklins from Social; Taco Sister’s nachos, fish tacos, and brisket burritos; and Burger Smith’s hot dogs, fries, fried okra, and “Smith Burger.” Also, expect bratwurst mit brotchen from The Wurst Biergarten and fan favorite pizzas from Deano’s. Gulf Brew’s 2016 menu is set to entertain taste buds of a variety.

Gulf Brew is also joined by Swamp Pop, The Lab, and Coca-Cola.
