Promotions, new hires and honors in the local biz community.

Ann Barilleaux has joined Jenningsbased JD Bank as VP and marketing director. Barilleaux most recently was a marketing consultant for CenterPoint Energy in Lake Charles and before that served as VP of foundation and leadership development for SWLA Economic Development Alliance. Barilleaux also previously worked for Women & Children’s Hospital in Lake Charles and Christus St. Patrick Hospital Foundation in Lake Charles. The Lake Charles native has an MBA from McNeese State University.

Longtime MidSouth Bank Regional Marketing Manager Ceci Thomassie was promoted to first VP and marketing director. For the past seven years, Thomassie served the bank as regional marketing manager/business communications manager and before that was brand marketing manager/regional marketing manager for Capital One Bank. She is responsible for the overall development and supervision of MidSouth Bank’s strategic planning initiatives throughout its Louisiana-Texas franchise. An Opelousas native, she earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communication with a minor in business from LSU.

Christopher S. Afeman has joined real estate law firm Andrus, Boudreaux, Landry & Coussan as partner. Afeman completed both his undergraduate degree in business administration and law degree at LSU before moving to Lafayette in 2006. He began his career practicing with a local law firm and in 2011 joined a statewide title company, managing its Lafayette office and transitioning into the title industry. He most recently was a partner at Tuten Title & Escrow.

KATC-TV 3 has promoted interim Digital Director Amanda Schwegmann- Jordan to digital director. Jordan joined KATC in December 2010 as interactive account executive and later moved into the position of interactive sales specialist. Prior to joining KATC, she worked as an assistant branch manager for Chase Bank and as district sales manager for Shelmar Marty’s in Memphis, Tenn. The Lafayette native graduated from Austin Peay State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Alan M. Jacobs was promoted to COO at City Club at River Ranch. Jacobs has been the GM of the City Club, Carriage House Hotel and Riverspa for almost four years and has more than 30 years of worldwide experience in general management, athletic and country clubs, cruise ships, hotels/resorts, property management and related fields. Jacobs graduated from Johnson and Wales University with a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management and hotel/restaurant management.

He also studied hotel management in Switzerland and holds a Certificate of Hotel Studies.

The Society of Louisiana CPAs has honored Home Bank CFO Joseph Zanco with the Distinguished Public Service Award, the highest honor for public service leadership, impact, involvement and innovation of a Louisiana CPA. Zanco now competes for the 2016 American Institute of CPAs National Public Service Award. Zanco’s volunteer service includes board of director roles with One Acadiana and Lafayette General Health, and he is actively involved with InnerFaith Prison Ministry, where he developed a financial literacy program to help inmates manage their finances upon release. In 2012, he founded Lead the Change Now, an organization focused on servant leadership.
