I must confess, however, that while I’m a new bride, I’m not exactly a traditional bride. I was married recently on a Wednesday in the woods wearing a red dress with a quick-made bouquet of white roses thanks to some thoughtful friends. Only a few people were there for our elopement. And it was everything I wanted and more. One day we will have a bigger celebration. And I’ll have some bridal portraits taken.

But, very early into the planning, I realized the few things that matter most to us in the world of nuptials and so we took the plunge our way.

That’s what you’ll find when you arrive at Acadiana Bride — the best tips, killer tricks and legit trends in all things wedding to help you plan a day that’s centered around what matters most. Your big day, done your way.
