Community Foundation of Acadiana is accepting nominations from the community for the 2017 Leaders in Philanthropy Awards.

The awards are presented annually to outstanding individuals or couples from each of the eight parishes of CFA’s primary service area who have made a philanthropic impact in their communities through substantial charitable contributions to or by attracting substantial contributions for nonprofits, churches or schools.

Community members and leaders are encouraged to nominate a philanthropist who serves the following areas: Acadia Parish, Evangeline Parish, Iberia Parish, Lafayette Parish, St. Landry Parish, St. Martin Parish, St. Mary Parish and Vermilion Parish. An award recipient will be chosen from each of the eight parishes if nominations allow.

CFA also presents one or more Corporate Awards to a corporation(s) that has made a philanthropic impact, through substantial charitable contributions to nonprofits, churches or schools, in at least one of the eight parishes of CFA’s primary service area. The Corporate Award winner(s) need not be headquartered in Acadiana.

Applications should be completed online here and will be accepted until the close of business Monday, Feb. 13.

Recipients will be selected in February and will be presented with awards at the 6th Annual Leaders in Philanthropy Awards Luncheon in November at the Cajundome in Lafayette.
